I was interviewed for the online magazine Voyage Denver last month. They were pretty thorough in their interview questioning. This is a link to the finished article which does a fairly good job of summing up the studio and my life as an artist. I would add that the average work week is pretty long. It really takes 25 years to see the fruits of ones hard work in advanced education, teaching and a full time studio practice.
The first image below is of my recent painting, Chieftains Glen, inspired by my time in Ireland. Chieftains Glen is currently on view at the Colorado Abstract +10 exhibition at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities through November 17, 2019.
The second image is of the postcard designed for the Greenwood Village 2019 Open Studio Tour. My painting, High Noon, seen on the front side was also influenced by travels through Ireland and the connections I made with the locals in Ballycastle, County Mayo. The 2019 Open Studio was hugely successful. It gave me a wonderful opportunity to meet many new friends and also welcome back collectors for seconds. My studio is open by appointment except for Open House events.
