New collectors of my work added two of my paintings from Space Gallery, Denver, CO to their private collection.
Eyes Above the Waves, inspired by my muse in Iceland; the early morning frosty ocean views from one of my favorite spots along the south coast and Whistle, a recent painting, was inspired by an evening's visit with friends to a local village pub in Ballycastle, Ireland. The whistle, as I came to find out is a musical instrument similar to the recorder, which was played for just us by one of Ballycastle's favorite sons. He not only played but, sang hauntingly about a lass he loved and lost.
It is extraordinary experiences like these which truly capture my heart and my imagination back in the studio. I paint everyday. These two paintings just about painted themselves.
