Art Basel Miami. Packing my paintings and installation materials for Miami Beach has been weeks in the making.
For those of you not familiar with this art event let me fill you in a bit. Art Basel is one of the largest art events in the United States. It happens annually the first week of December and the main event takes place in the Miami Convention Center. This is HUGE and no one leaves disappointed. The art exhibited there is from every corner of the world and the visitors come in droves. It is the cream of the cream.
Then there are the approximately 17-20 Satellite Art Fairs scattered across Miami and Miami Beach.
I have been visiting Art Basel for five years and arriving this year to exhibit my work at Aqua Art is pretty exciting, to say the least. Rain or shine the show goes on! Aqua Art is located on Collins Avenue which is a prime location on Miami Beach. Surrounded by Art Deco period hotel buildings, family restaurants and swanky party bars which hum well into the late hours with fun is on every menu.
I am taking 40 paintings and have curated my show in advance. Once the work is delivered into the space the installation begins and should take several hours to complete. The first scheduled event is the VIP Evening on December 6 and is always very well attended. Over forty midsized galleries are located at Aqua Art. Dorchester Hotel is steps away with an amazing roster for their Print Show. Untitled Art is across the street on the beach. The list goes on and on.
I do still have some VIP tickets to offer you so don't be shy. Just let me know and I will email you the link. Hope to see you and your friends under the palm trees enjoying the warm breezes and a cool beach beverage.
