Spring is in the air as I write this on February 26th! Tomorrow the forecast in Denver is for 50 degrees and sunny!
I am excited to announce my exhibition opening Thursday, February 28, 5:30-7:30 at the Messinger Gallery Boulder JCC, Boulder, CO. The exhibition titled, Open Water - Recent paintings and prints is a culmination of three years of work I have made inspired by my artist residencies in Iceland. My first residency was with SIM in May 2016 and the second with Hafnarborg Museum of Culture and Fine Art in February 2018.
For those who don't know me, I want to let you in on a secret, Iceland is a FAVORITE travel destination of mine. The work in this show was painted from translated memories of place, culture, music, language, icebergs, waterfalls, and the pounding Arctic surf. My latest MagCloud catalog, Collected Works 2017 - 2019 Volume Two features some of the new work!
I hope you will stop by the show if you are in Boulder. It will be featured through May 7, 2019. The JCC is located at 6007 Oreg Avenue, Boulder, CO 80303 is open Monday through Friday 7:30 - 5:30. Closed on Saturday and Sunday. There is work upstairs as well.
Until next month thank you for your continued support of my work!
