I am delighted to return to Iceland, the beautiful Arctic island, that stole my heart during my first visit in 2016 when I traveled Iceland from tip to toes over a five week period.
On my second visit I am living and working in my apartment studio flat above the Hafnarborg Centre for Culture and Fine Art. The museum exhibits first class conceptual installations and is known throughout Iceland for its collection of national and international art.
Arriving in mid winter I am staying more centrally located in Hafnarfjordur, the shipping and industrial city which I am researching for my upcoming paintings. With several visits scheduled to see majestic waterfalls, glaciers, art museums and of course, colorful Reykjavik. More about this residency will be in my next studio newsletter.
