The success of this show comes from months of working hermit-like in my studio, countless miles traveled to find the 'seeds' for each painting, the efforts and major talent of my panel and frame fabricator, the eagle eye, patience, and curatorial skills of my generous and extremely calm gallery owner/curator, my fun and supportive family and many wonderful friends. Thank you!
My Gallery Talk on Process and Technique took place at Space Gallery on a Third Friday Collectors evening mid-December. Those attending the talk were full of great questions and comments. The same question was asked several times. "How do you begin a painting?"
Each of my paintings began with a extraordinary experience, typically found serendipitously by connecting with people encountered during ordinary moments. I am a bit of a storyteller as some readers of this may know and enjoy sharing a paintings origin with those who ask.
When a connection is made between a collector and one of my paintings I know that I have hit my mark. It is a sweet moment. I am fortunate and grateful for this gift. I honestly savor each time one of my paintings finds a good home. A sincere thank you to each of my collectors and your enthusiasm and support. You make what I love to do possible.
